


Meet The Chef
“Food has been an integral part of my life since the beginning”. Gavin grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains, and yet the culture in his home kitchen was always French. Eating Coq Au Vin and Bœuf Bourguignon as a child eventually led him to Paris after finishing university for culture and language. This connection paired with his Japanese heritage ultimately led him to culinary school. Gavin spent his early years at Octavia in San Francisco learning from mentors Chef Jen Jackson and Chef Melissa Perello, where he worked his way to Sous Chef. This experience in a Michelin star restaurant formed his love for finesse and the quality of products. At Octavia, Gavin also focused his passion for wine, having access to the best producers from around the world. Today, through private events and dinners, Gavin aims to bring his Japanese French cuisine and low-intervention wine to you in a personal and sincere way.
